When can babies have Cauliflower?
Babies can have cauliflower around 6 months, once your baby is ready for complementary foods. Cauliflower has a mild flavour and soft texture after cooking, making it suitable for babies beginning solids.

It provides vitamin C, fibre and other nutrients that support healthy growth. Introducing vegetables with different flavours and textures from the start may help babies become more accepting of a wider variety of foods as they grow.

Is there any choking risk?
Raw or lightly cooked cauliflower is firm and can be difficult for babies to bite through, increasing the risk of choking. Steam or roast until the florets are easily pierced with a fork.

For babies learning to self-feed, offer large, soft florets that are easy to grasp. As chewing skills improve, cauliflower can be cut into smaller bite-sized pieces.
