When can babies have Carrot?
Carrots can be introduced from around 6 months of age, when your baby is developmentally ready to start complementary foods. They are naturally rich in beta-carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A to support healthy vision, immune function and growth.
Is there any choking risk?
Raw carrots are one of the most common choking hazards for young children because they are hard and difficult to bite through. Always cook carrots until soft before serving to babies. Avoid raw carrot sticks, coins or chunks until your child has developed mature chewing skills.
